Emerald Green Māori Short Korowai Kahu Huruhuru

This Emerald Green Māori Short Korowai is perfect for graduations or other ceremonies where it provides the look of a korowai without the full length. 

This korowai, or kahu huruhuru to be exact, is made by a Māori lady of Ngati Porou descent.   She learned the art of making korowai from a Northland kuia.

It has an Emerald Green, Black and White knitted taniko top, with white feathers below, followed by emerald green and black feathers. If you want different coloured feathers, let us know. You can choose different coloured feathers here.

Also available with Red White and Black Taniko, as shown in the last photo.

The taniko has a patiki design, which spiritually means abundance, prosperity, and care of others.

This korowai measures approximately 1m wide, and 20cm (8") deep.  It is lined with black fabric.

Fabulous for anyone of Māori and Irish descent.  But just fabulous anyway.

A matching green headband is also available to purchase.
