Not only is this Koru made in New Zealand from NZ Greenstone, it also carries the Ngai Tahu pounamu traceability code, so you can view the rock it came from, know the type of pounamu it is carved from, and learn its provenance. 

The particular Koru photographed is made from Hapopo greenstone. The Hapopo colour ranges from medium to dark forest green, with a unique mottled texture. The name orginates from Kā Umu o Hapopo (Big Bay), located in Poutini ki te toka (South Westland).

Size: The pounamu koru measures approximately 30mm (1 3/16") in diameter, and hangs from a long black adjustable cord, so you can sit it where you want on your chest.
