Māori Maunga-nui Great Mountain Kōuma Breastplate Earrings

These stunning earrings from Little Taonga  are called Maunga-nui, meaning “great mountain,” drawing inspiration from the powerful peaks of Aotearoa, standing tall as a symbol of strength, protection, and enduring resilience.

Perfect to give as a gift to someone who needs a symbol of resilience and strength, maybe someone going through a tough time, an illness, etc.

The Kōuma (Breastplate) design represents resilience, guardianship, and the ability to shield oneself from negative energies or harm.

The jewellery design is by Greg Ashwell from Atawera Art in Kaikōura.

Each piece is made from fine brass dipped in 18KT Gold, and covered with a clear tarnish-resistant coating to protect them from the elements.

The stud earrings hang down approximately 4cm (1 1/2"), and the kōuma measure approximately 2cm (3/4") wide.

Absolutely stunning gold Māori design earrings that are modern and stylish.
